PURPOSE:
The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT"), is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide labor,
equipment and materials to complete leveling of concrete sidewalks, to include around driveways and drop inlets, concrete ditches and
curbs and gutters for the Manassas Residency and Fairfax Residency. Services will be performed on an on-call, as needed basis throughout Prince William County and Fairfax County in accordance with the specifications contained herein. . PERIOD OF CONTRACT: One year from date of award with three (3) optional renewal periods.

Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Nasir Chhipa at nasir.chhipa@VDOT.Virginia.gov The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than five (5) days prior to the closing date. SCOPE OF WORK:
1. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, fuel, and any other incidentals necessary to
perform leveling of concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, concrete ditches, and concrete pads around drop inlets on an on call,
as needed basis.
2. Concrete leveling shall be achieved through motorized/mechanical means by the raising of concrete by injecting a concrete
slurry under settled areas, or the lowering of concrete by means of grinding.
3. Any disturbed areas shall be restored to original or similar appearance.
4. The Contractor shall clean the work area so the worksite presents a neat, orderly, and workmanlike appearance upon
completion.
5. The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within seven (7) calendar days upon award.
6. VDOT will be responsible for providing traffic control. 7. The Contractor shall have experienced personnel capable of proficiently performing the following tasks: concrete leveling,
mud-jacking, slab-jacking, grinding, and any other tasks associated to the lifting of existing concrete.
8. The Contractor shall be capable of providing up to three (3) crews to perform concrete leveling services simultaneously, if
requested by VDOT.
9. Slurry material shall be Ag-Lime and Portland Cement at 50/1 Ratio. A VDOT Representative will verify quantity of
materials.
10. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all water required to perform the work, including necessary permits. The
cost to provide water shall be included in the unit bid price(s).
11. All ready mix concrete supplied by the Contractor shall conform to the current VDOT Road and Bridge Material
Specification Manual, Section 217
