Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Saco, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Saco is soliciting bids for a replacement slab top to a wet well at the Windy Point Pump Station and a replacement of a slab top to the valve pit at the Factory Island Pump Station. Windy Point Scope of Work: o All excavation work to be done by contractor. o Remove and replace existing slab top on the 2nd wet well with new one. o Removal of old slab shall include disposal. o New slab top shall be an 8' ID precast concrete slab top with: o One 30" x 48" pedestrian rated double leaf aluminum access hatch with safety grate. o All sealant needed between the new top and old structure. o A 6" core will need to be made on top of new slab top for existing vent pipe. o Site cleanup done by contractor. o No bypass pumping will be needed at this site. o All above work to be performed in accordance with the standard practices for above work and completed in a substantial workmanlike manner. o See Appendix A for more detail on wet well. Factory Island Scope ofWork: o All excavation work to done by contractor. o Remove and replace existing slab top on valve chamber with new one. O Removal of old slab shall include disposal. o New slab top will be a 10' ID precast concrete slab top with: O One 30" x 54" H-20 rated double leaf aluminum access hatch with safety grate. o All sealant needed between the new top and old structure. o Removal and replacement ofthree (3) 6" plug valves in valve pit. o One or two pumper trucks will be needed at this site to bypass the force main when plug valves are being replaced. Contractor shall coordinate with the City of Saco WRRD. o Site cleanup done by contractor. o All above work to be performed in accordance with the standard practices for above work and completed in a substantial workmanlike manner. o See Appendix B for more detail on valve pit.
