As of 4/7/2022 Based upon the submitted bid being above the 10% threshold of the Engineer's Estimate for the project, we are rejecting the bid and re-advertising the project with an adjusted Engineer's Estimate. The new Engineer's Estimate is $373,460.00 with a bid date of Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The replacement bridge is for a single span (43'-0") prestressed concrete box beam and reinforced concrete abutment supported on steel piles. The new bridge width is 24'-0" measured face to face railing. Minor approach roadway improvements to be provided. This project is partially funded by OPWC. This project must be completed by Monday, October 31, 2022. All questions must be submitted in writing, via email, to the individual named ekl@wayne-county-engineer.com Bidders are responsible for ensuring that all emails are sent and received. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the Invitation to Bid, all blanks of which must be accurately and appropriately completed. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all irregularities and/or defects, and to accept the bid(s) deemed most beneficial to Wayne County. Until any contract(s) resulting from this Invitation to Bid is/are fully executed by all parties, including, but not limited to, the time between the adoption of any resolution(s) awarding and/or approving any contract(s) and full execution of said contract(s), this Reservation of Rights shall remain in effect. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or the authorized postponement thereof. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening.
