BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashiers check as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218 must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of Three Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($350.00) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date of 67 calendar days (Starting May 31 and ending August 5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Caddo Parish School Board desires that Bidders make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Demolition: Remove the existing manual operated bleachers and floor mounted brackets and anchors; remove the existing wall-mounted scoreboard; remove the existing wood flooring. Terminate all electrical associated with the bleachers and remove any existing related conduit, patch and paint wall. 2. Install new electrically operated telescoping bleachers as noted in the Documents. 3. Add volleyball inserts into the floor with equipment. 4. Provide and install data and power outlets for new score table and wall-mounted scoreboard. 5. Provide and install new score table and scoreboard. 6. Provide and install new basketball goals, backboards, and backstops. 7. Provide and install new wall mounted safety pads. 8. Painting of existing masonry wall inside perimeter of gym to 12'-10 'A" above finished floor. 9. Coordinate with concurrent Work for re-finishing the existing gym wood floor. 10. Electrical items as noted on the Documents. 11. Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents not designated as an Alternate.
