Renovation of an educational facility in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Renovation of the Price Center West interior food court. Originally built in 1989, Price Center West is located within University Centers at UC San Diego and serves as a central hub for campus dining and services. With a growing student population and aging facilities, Student Affairs University Center has identified a need to revitalize the Price Center West dining commons. The dining experience, capacity, and flow integration to the outdoor plaza are important elements of the project. Renovation is anticipated to include approximately 7,800 SF of interior food court and restrooms. The construction phase will take place over a 'summer blitz' commencing directly after the conclusion of Spring '22 academic quarter with completion prior to the start of Fall '22 academic quarter. The four existing food vendors will remain in operation during construction with public access provided for limited summer hours of operation between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays. Modifications to the existing food vendor areas are not included in the scope of work. Construction duration is 88 calendar days. UC San Diego encourages the participation of Small, Disadvantaged, Minority owned, Women-owned and Service/Disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (S/D/M/W/DVBE's) and is committed to promote a diverse pool of firms for our building programs. Potential bidders will be required to submit their small business outreach plan to the University as part of the prequalification process. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. License Requirement C9-C2-C61/D28 OR B
