Reference Number : 1579598 Expected duration of the contract without the options (in months): 4 Description University of Quebec in Montreal, hereinafter called the Owner, having its head office at 1430, rue Saint-Denis, H2X 3J8, Montreal, Quebec, is requesting tenders for the renovation of the storm drainage network at Pavilion SB. The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to: the diversion of the CP-06 asbestos-cement rain column from level 1 of the Biological Sciences (SB) pavilion to the indoor parking lot by replacing the diverted portion with a new PVC pipe; the complete removal of the disused asbestos-cement rainwater pipe; structural reinforcements at prescribed locations; the installation of a new watertight door between rooms SB-M438 and SB-M439. This includes all development work, all demolition work, temporary protection, patching and other necessary for the complete completion of the Work and all related work such as: development and cleaning of the site, temporary protection work, repairs and modifications existing interior fittings. All jointing, repair and drilling work required for the work herein is included. The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. He must act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and staff. Similarly, the outdoor courtyard, parking, access, etc., will also continue to be used throughout the duration of the work. The Contractor shall ensure that users will have access to premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and seamless climate. Regarding work carried out in the animal sector at level M, the Contractor must provide and wear protective suits (type Ty-Vek) in addition to boot covers.
