Renovation of a mixed-use development in Grand Junction, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The Western Colorado VA Medical Center located at 2121 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501 has identified the need Pharmacy Repairs under project 575-22-105. See attached SOW for details. NAICS 236220 with a business size standard of $39.5M. The project magnitude is estimated between $50,000 and $100,000. Offeror shall provide evidence of experience as outlined in the Statement of Work. The offeror shall also provide a current EMR rating with the quote. A site visit is scheduled for March 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM Mountain Time (MT). Please meet at L1-136 - Bldg. L first floor conference room. Hard hat and reflective vest is required for the site walk. All questions relating to this solicitation are due no later than close of business March 18, 2022. Please email quotes to ilze.karklins-powers@va.gov OBJECTIVE: Provide labor, Materials, equipment, and other services as necessary to complete required repairs to the Pharmacy compounding room at the Grand Junction VA campus, 2121 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501. Requirements Specific to This Project Reference the drawing and specifications provided for the contractor to successfully complete the following tasks: 1. Demo approximately 65 square feet of drywall on the east wall and 4 feet on connecting walls in the Ante room. Demo from the ceiling down 4 feet and the entire width of the wall. Demo approximately 125 square feet of drywall from the entire Ante Room ceiling. a. Remove any sound attenuation insulation. b. Protect all wall and ceiling mounted equipment. 2. Install new sound attenuation insulation in all affected areas. 3. Install new 5/8" drywall to match existing. 4. Paint all new surfaces, matching existing paint and primer. See spec section 09-91-00 5. Purchase 4 EA HEPA filters and replace two Supply Fan Filter Units (FFU) filter banks. Providing remaining filters to VA. a. A submittal has been provided for the Price Fan Filter Units FFU Series # HE 6. Remove old Chemosphere and install the new VA provided Chemosphere. a. Disconnect ductwork and remove old Chemosphere. b. Move old Chemosphere to the VA warehouse on station for processing. c. Install new chemosphere and attach provided ductwork - see Chemosphere submittal for details regarding the manufacturer's provided ductwork kit d. Provide 40 hours of TAB contractor to coordinate with VA personnel and Compounding Space certification team. This activity must be planned 4 weeks in advance and coordinated with BioMed e. Permanently seal the 6" EMS ductwork on the ceiling located in the Ante Room SUBMITTALS: Contractor shall submit the following: 1. Log of all anticipated submittals 2. Request for information (RFI) log with all responses 3. Schedule of all work to include sequencing durations, critical path, and cost loaded schedule of values. With every invoice a new construction schedule will be submitted. 4. Site Specific Safety Plan 5. Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) as needed. See Spec Section 01-35-26 6. 2 to 4 week look-a heads of anticipated work throughout the duration of the project 7. List of all employees to be working on site and proof of their OSHA certifications (10 or 30 hour) 8. Name of site superintendent and proof of 30-hour OSHA certification HOURS OF WORK: Work shall take place during normal business hours 0700-1700, Monday through Friday, all Federal Holidays excluded. Weekend work and evenings is allowed upon approval from the COR. Written notification must be given to the COR at least three working days before the weekend in question. Inspections will require a prior five-day notification submitted to the Contract Officer Representative (COR) or government representative. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE Period of performance including lead time for materials and submittals: 90 days from Notice to Proceed. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
