Bidder must show proof of contractors license and insurance. The Newport City Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to accept the bid most advantageous to the board. The Newport City Board of Education is an equal opportunity employer. The Newport City Board of Education is now accepting bids for the Mowing of Grass at Newport Grammar School for the 2022-2023 school year beginning on July 1,2022. Bids are to be on a per mowing basis rather than a monthly or annual price. Mowing will be on the following schedule July, August, September and October, 2022 One time between the 1st day of the month and the 5th day of the month,and one time between the 15th day of the month and the 20th day of the month. November 2022 One mowing between the 1st day of the month and the 5th day of the month. December 2022-March 2023 No mowing unless requested by the Director. April, May and June 2023 One time between the 1st day of the month and the 5th day of the month,and one time between the 15th day of the month and the 20th day of the month. Bid should include mowing, raking grass, trimming, removing litter, and blowing off sidewalks and pavement. No weed killer is to be used in place of trimming, unless approved by Director.
