The Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (hereinafter referred to as the “Department”) seeks the services of a licensed, insured, and experienced Vendor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to remove, dispose and replace the roof systems at Yeehaw Junction Building #5906 and Clermont-Leesburg Building #5908, Florida’s Turnpike, Mileposts 193 & 285, respectively. A formal written protest and protest bond in compliance with Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, within ten (10) days after the date on which the written notice of protest is filed. At the time of filing the formal written protest, a bond (a cashier’s check or money order may be accepted) payable to the Department must also be submitted in an amount equal to one percent (1%) of the estimated Contract amount based on theContract price submitted by the protestor. The Vendor shall notify the Department’s Project/Contract Manager verbally and/or by email of any damages to Turnpike Facilities or property of the traveling public as a result of the Vendor’s operations. The notification shall be completed by no later than the next business day and include, at a minimum, the type of damage, location, nature of the incident, time and date of occurrence, photos and any related injuries. The Vendor shall, at its sole expense, repair all damages within twenty-four (24) hours of occurrence or at such other time approved by the Department’s Project/Contract Manager. The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
