Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Parry Sound, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The fully accessible Bobby Orr Community Centre is a hub of on-ice activity from September - April, hosting Parry Sound Hockey Club, Parry Sound Skating Club, Mens Industrial and Sportsman League, Seniors Gentlemen's Daytime Leagues, and a variety of public skating programs. Weekends are a bustle of activity, as the Centre plays host to many Hockey Club Tournaments and Public Skating Programs. The Hall and Meeting Rooms host recreation programs including Line Dancing, Senior Walking Club, Shuffleboard, Floor Curling, Young Artists & Zumba as well as serves as a rental venue in the community for private recreation programs, parties, weddings and other events. In the off season, the facility hosts conferences and events including indoor sports and concerts while continuing to offer recreational programming. General Project Requirements: Heating, cooling, and air ventilation in the Bobby Orr Community Centre is provided by seven (7) rooftop HVAC units; five (5) heat/cool units and 2 (two) units being heat only. This project calls for the replacement of all existing units, with the most practical, energy efficient units that will service the spaces as required.
