This Contract is financed by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development and is therefore subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with those projects. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: . The Project is currently planned to include but not limited to the following Work: o A new Headworks Facility with Fine Mechanical Screen, Solids Washing and Compacting, and Raw Sewage Pumping within a new reinforced concrete and masonry structure at the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). o Improvements to 460 Volt, 3 Phase, main WWTP electrical power distribution equipment. o Installation of Total Trihalomethane treatment system in the existing Water Treatment Plant (WTP) storage reservoir. Improvements to the Manistique Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with minor work at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) as follows: a. Construction of a new Headworks Facility consisting of new Fine Screening with an Upper and Lower Screen Room; new Raw Sewage Pumping including Drop Well, Wetwell, Pump Room; and a Headworks Access Corridor to connect the existing Service Building to the Headworks Electrical Room. b. Flow Control Structures No. 1 and No. 2 are to redirect flow from plan East and West to the new Headworks Facility, see yard piping sheet for more details. c. Installation of a new vertical Fine Bar Screen and Solids Washer/Compactor within Upper Screen Room. d. Installation of 4 new vertical RS (Raw Sewage) Pumps in the Pump Room including a new parallel RS pipe routed to existing grit system. e. Septage receiving equipment shall be installed in the lower level of the Service Building, and No. 3 existing RS Pump shall be relocated to the number 4 position. Septage will be received in existing RS Wetwell which will be repurposed as Septage Equalization Tank. Other RS Pumps will be demolished. Two new Vertical Septage Return Pumps will be installed along with an inline grinder. f. Replace the WWTP 480 Volt, 3 Phase Power Distribution System. Existing Service Building MCC-A is to be replace and distribution improvements made. New MCC panel will be installed in the existing Final Tanks. g. Reservoir No. 2 at the Water Treatment Plant is to receive TTHM removal equipment consisting of Mixing System, Ventilation, and Surface Aerator including a Local control panel. h. SCADA Improvements
