SRVUSD District Office Alterations 699 Old Orchard Drive, Danville CA 94526 This Contract is not subject to prequalification. The Project is generally described as alterations for portions of the District Office including removal and replacement of flooring, wall and ceiling finishes, replacement of existing light fixtures, modifications to mechanical systems, removal and replacement of water closets, lavatory/sink and casework. Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice and all other documents comprising the contract documents. All interested parties may obtain additional information by contacting Project Manager, Victor Manansala at vmanansala@srvusd.net. All forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder shall file a Payment Bond issued by an admitted Surety authorized to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District. A Performance Bond will also be required. Owner, or its designee, has determined that certain materials, services, products or things designated by specific brand or trade name shall not be subject to Public Contract Code section 3400(a) in order that a field test or experiment may be made to determine the product's suitability for future use; in order to match other materials, services, products or things in use on a particular Owner public improvement either completed or in the course of completion; in order to obtain a necessary item that is only available from one source; and in order to respond to an emergency declared by Owner. These specific materials, services, products or things are identified below: Proprietary Products List Product Manufacturer Specification Section Lock Sets Schlage 08 71 00 Door Hardware KeySystem Schlage 08 71 00 Door Hardware Closers LCN 08 71 00 Door Hardware Pursuant to the Contract Documents, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. This Project is a public works project and is subject to the payment of prevailing wages. The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract that will be awarded to the successful bidder. The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s) shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions, which include, but are not limited to, the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors. Each Bidder submitting a bid must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 ("DIR Registered Contractor"), unless an exception expressly provided in the Labor Code applies. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. If awarded the Contract, at all times during performance of the work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors of any tier shall be DIR Registered Contractors and continue to comply with all DIR requirements. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the California Business and Professions Code at the time the bid is submitted. Each bidder shall have a Class "B" license and shall maintain that license in good standing through the contract completion and all applicable warranty periods. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding process.
