Q&A Deadline: 03/10/2022 3:00 PM (PST) The City of Sacramento ("CITY") is establishing a new program to offer assistance to neighborhood and business associations with the cleanup of debris and other blight. While the City provides solid waste collection services for all residences of one to four units, it does not have the resources necessary to haul away material generated during the course of a neighborhood cleanup event. RESPONDENTs awarded a nonprofessional agreement as a result of this Request For Qualifications (RFQ) are to provide the necessary collection services at the direction of CITY. The collection services required will depend on the needs of each cleanup event. Some events may be small, requiring only a 4-yard front loader bin, while others may require multiple 40-yard bins. All collected material will be nonhazardous municipal solid waste (MSW). No appliances, e-waste, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, or other forms of hazardous waste will be accepted via these bins. CITY intends to select contractors from the resulting approved list on a rotating basis. However, CITY reserves the right to select an individual contractor based upon unit rates, past performance, current project requirements, availability, and/or equity in contract expenditures. CITY may negotiate with an approved contractor to provide additional services, if applicable. For contracts under $250,000, RESPONDENTs that qualify as an LBE will receive a 5% preference on all City procurement opportunities. This program provides enhanced opportunities for the participation of qualifying business in CITY's contracting and procurement activities.
