As of April 28, 2022, this project has been awarded to Phil Tullis Excavating, Inc. $ 28.85 per linear ft. Sealed Bid Contracts for CURB AND GUTTERING REPLACE- MENTS" at various locations within the City of Taylorville, SIDEWALK REPLACEMENTS* at various locations within the City, CONCRETE" to be used in various locations throughout the City for the Curb & Guttering Program, Sidewalk Replacement Program and various other City projects completed by City employees In all Departments of the City, MOWING. These bids will not pertain to any separate projects that the City may bid out. Specifications and copies of all Bid Contract documents may be obtained at the office of the City Clerk. The Bid Contract for mowing contract will be for the 2022 and 2023 mowing seasons. The Bid Contract term for all other contracts will be for a 12-month period. This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 etseq. ('the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing sen/ices on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of contractors and subcontractors rendering sen/ices under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Bid Contracts shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Sealed Bid-Curb and Gutter Replacements", "Sealed Bid-Sidewalk Replacements", "Sealed Bid-Concrete", "Sealed Bid-Mowing", or "Sealed Bid-Fuel" as the case may be and be accompanied with the required certificate of insurance as specified in the Bid Contract. E-mailed Bids will not be accepted. The City of Taylorville, Illinois reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Contracts, any or all bid items, and to waive any and all irregularities or informalities in the Bid Contracts and/or bidding process and/or in the award of the Bid Contract. An award of Bid Contract, if made, shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder. Bid Contracts may be held by the City of Taylorville, Illinois for a period of 30 days from the date of the opening of Bid Contracts for the purpose of reviewing the Bid Contracts and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding of the Bid Contract.
