The project consists of rehabilitating the access equipment in the gate tower of Middle Creek Dam. The project consists of installing a new fixed 96-foot ladder, installing two lower 18-foot ladders, demolition and removal of existing ladders and an intermediate landing, modifications to the upper and lower grillages, installing fall protection equipment, installing an electrical panel, wiring, lights, and outlets, and repairing concrete cracks. Bidders having questions or requiring clarification or interpretation of any section of the project documents must address these issues at the Pre-Bid conference or in writing utilizing the eMACS Q&A Board of this solicitation by April 1, 2022. Questions received after the deadline may not be considered. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids not accompanied by said Bid Security will be rejected. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The start date for construction is August 15, 2022, and the project shall obtain final substantial completion by October 15, 2022. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive, responsible and qualified Bidder which is in the best interest of the DNRC.
