The Pueblo of Tesuque Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is inviting interested contractors to submit a proposal to remove approximately 368,000 cubic feet of sediment from the Rio Tesuque River channel which flows under the Tesuque TP 806 Bridge. This includes dredging under the bridge and removing a berm. Contractors must taper digging to restore proper channel slope. Bid date Description- By Hand Delivery: Receptionist Pueblo of Tesuque 20 TP828 Administration Building Santa Fe, NM 87506 The TP 806 Bridge is located within the Pueblo of Tesuque, near the intersection of TP 806 and TP 805 which is an important access road into the Pueblo village. The main goal of this project is to remove sediment in the Rio Tesuque channel where it flows under the bridge. The channel substrate is primarily sand and gravel. A berm will need to be removed that currently restricts the Rio Tesuque. That berm is approximately 600 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 5.5 feet tall. The dredging of the channel bottom will need to start approximately 200 feet upstream of the bridge and continue downstream of the bridge to a location to be determined (approximately 700 feet downstream). It is imperative that a proper channel slope be maintained that supports the flows of the Rio Tesuque. The slope, or gradient, will ultimately determine how the dredging will be tapered. It is estimated that in some locations, the dredging will reach 4 feet deep. The sediment that is removed will need to be taken to an upstream location on the Pueblo.
