Reference Number 00002957467 The Village of Salmo is looking for a contractor able to complete the next phase of our dike maintenance project. Contractors will be required to install new rip rap and geotextile fabric along approximately 115m at the western end of the dike. Rip rap material will be keyed into the natural bank upstream of the repair area and abut to the existing bank armouring on the downstream end. Works to be completed within the stream will be limited to the placement of some large, clean rip rap boulders and geotextile fabric. The rip rap stock will be supplied by the Village but will be required to be moved to the site from the Village storage. Contractors will be required to supply the Geotech fabric. Contractors must also work closely with the Village civic works crew, our engineers, and the local indigenous band representative. All aspects of the quotation are to be included in the proposal cost including labour and supplies. Interested proponents that are qualified to supply and complete this scope of work are welcome to participate in this request for quotation process. TIMELINE The project work is tentatively scheduled to be completed the week of April 11th, 2022 and estimated to take 6-8 days to complete including mobilization, demobilization as well as site clean-up and restoration. The start date is weather dependent and may happen the week before or the week after. Work is in preparation for the spring freshet. All permits are in place for this our of season work.
