Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mundelein, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The proposed improvement includes: HMA pavement reconstruction & milling, HMA pavement & aggregate base course placement, driveway removal/replacement, sidewalk installation, curb & gutter installation, drainage improvements, and site restoration within the Village. The two low bidders must file within 24 hours after the letting an "Affidavit of Availability" (Form BC 57), in duplicate, showing all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal and private work. One original shall be filed with the Awarding Authority and one original with the Engineer. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding, and to accept the Bid which best serves the interests of the Village. The Village shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submitting a Bid, the Bidder agrees to be bound by that determination.The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents.
