The principal work to be performed under this contract consists of, but not limited to, improvements of the following: 5 new parking spaces Approximately 200 Linear Feet of VDOT CG-6 curb and gutter Approximately 4,310 Square Feet of new lane / asphalt improvements Lane & parking space striping and signage Approximately 185 Linear Feet ditch improvements Approximately 8,000 Square Feet of fine grading operations Erosion & sediment control(s) Associated minor pavement curb, gutter, and earth demolition / removal for the above referenced improvements The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: B & B Consultants, Inc., 212 East Ferrell Street, South Hill, Virginia 23970. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Benchmark Bank nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Evidence of proper registration with the Virginia State Registration Board of Contractors, pursuant to Chapter 7 of Title 54 of the Code of Virginia, must be submitted with each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to negotiate with the low bidder, and/or to re-advertise the project for bids.
