Provision of Speed Humps on an Annual Contract The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Provision of Speed Humps on an Annual Contract with Three (3) Options to Renew for the Department of Transportation Questions regarding bids should be directed to Shavonne Swiger Purchasing Associate III, at shavonne.swiger@gwinnettcounty.com or by calling 770-822-7821, no later than March 18, 2022. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. All bids should be submitted in duplicate. Successful supplier will be required to meet insurance requirements, and submit a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond (if sub-contractors are used). Insurance and Bonding Company should be licensed to do business by the Georgia Secretary of State, authorized to do business in Georgia by The Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of Treasury's Publication of Companies holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies. The payment bond must have an A.M. Best rating of A-5 or higher. The contractor must carry on with utmost diligence in order to complete the work at the earliest possible date. For failure to complete the work within the time agreed upon in the work authorization, the contractor shall pay Gwinnett County $250.00 in liquidated damages for each calendar day in excess of the contract time until the project is considered substantially complete by the County. Gwinnett County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and readvertise. It is understood that all bids are made subject to this agreement, that Gwinnett County reserves the right to decide which bid or bids it deems lowest and best, and in arriving at this decision, full consideration will be given to the reputation of the bidder, his financial responsibility, and work of this type successfully completed.
