The Rowlett Road Cycle Track will run along Rowlett Road and Duck Creek Drive from Greenbelt Parkway to Lake Ray Hubbard. A separated, two-way cycle track will run from Broadway Boulevard to Roan Road. 12-foot-wide hike/bike trails will be constructed at each end of the cycle track as well as new sidewalks for pedestrians. The total length of the project is approximately 2.1 miles. This project will be bid out, managed, and constructed by Dallas County. Dallas County, TxDOT, and Garland will each fund a portion of the project's expenses, and this project sheet shows the amount for which the City of Garland is responsible. Dallas County projects an increase to the project cost, which resulted in an additional $800,000 of City contribution. Dallas County is preparing an amendment to the executed Project Specific Agreement (PSA) This project is included in the city's fy 2024 Capital Improvement Program.
