Pierce County accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for Addenda and submit inadequate or incomplete proposals. Each Proposal (including all required attachments) shall be submitted to Pierce County by one of the following methods: (1) Electronically upload Bid Documents via website. Instructions for uploading Bid Documents are located in the "Bid Number" under the "Bid Documents" tab. This is the preferred method. (2) Deliver hard copy Bid Documents in a sealed envelope, with the Project Name and Project Number as stated in the Call for Bids clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, or as otherwise required in the Bid Documents, to ensure proper handling and delivery. Description of Work This contract provides for the improvement of: Group 1 - 159th St E/160th St E from 5th Ave E to 7th Ave Ct E This work will remove and reconstruct existing non-compliant curb ramps and construct new curb ramps where none currently exist at the following locations: 159th St E and 5th Ave E, 160th St E and 7th Ave Ct E. This work will also include reconstructing portions of the existing non-compliant asphalt concrete walkway along the south side of 159th St E/160th St E between 5th Ave E and 7th Ave Ct E. Group 2 - 224th St E/82nd Ave E Intersection This work will install new asphalt pads on the northeast quadrant of this intersection for pedestrian pushbutton access, and other work in accordance with and as described in the Plans and Specifications. Pierce County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
