The bids shall be labeled "Project 3-22, 2022 Alley Paving Project". Major Work Quantities, Remove Asphalt Pavement 4200 Square Yards, Common Excavation 2275 Cubic Yards, Geotextile Fabric 5145 Square Yards , 6" of 1-1/4 Base over 6" of 3" Breaker Course 5145 Square Yards, 1.75" Hot Mix Asphalt Binder Course 4790 Square Yards, 2.25" Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Course 4790 Square Yards , Turf Establishment 750 Square Yards, 6" Concrete Apron/Sidewalk 1500 Square Foot, 30" Concrete Curb & Gutter 312 Lineal Feet, 12" Storm Sewer 300 Lineal Feet, 8" Storm Sewer 23 Lineal Feet , 48" Manhole (Storm) 14 Vertical Feet , 2'x3' Catch Basins 8 Vertical Feet The above work will be let as a single base bid to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the specifications and contract on file with the City Clerk. No bid can be received or considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, or a bid bond in equal amount payable to the City as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within ten (10) days from the date of the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidder's Proof of Responsibility for all bidders including subcontractors must be on file in the City Clerk's Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 25th, 2022. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary for the construction of the asphalt pavement in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. The work is listed on the proposal form and consists essentially of asphalt paving, base preparation, backfilling, terrace restoration, and other miscellaneous items. Miscellaneous items that are required to complete the work, but are not included as items on the proposal shall be considered an integral part of the contract and the cost of such items shall be included in the unit price bid for other items of work
