MDOT MVA Office of Information Resources Façade Cleaning and Repair VSBE Participation (%) 2.0 MBE Participation (%) 15.0 MDOT MVA seeks a contractor to provide façade cleaning and repairs to the Office of Information Resources (OIR) Building. This includes exterior cleaning and joint replacement, in addition to window washing and installation of a safety system as detailed below and in the attached specifications and drawings. The proposed project includes providing the following work complete and in-place in every way and shall be ready for use: 1. All surfaces including Limestone Panels, Glass, EIFS, Metal and Concrete retaining walls shall be cleaned. 2. All limestone surfaces shall be pre-washed, cleaned with a masonry restoration cleaner and sealed with a water repellant. 3. After cleaning and repair, all EIFS surfaces shall be re-coated. 4. All exterior sealant joints shall be replaced at all areas, including vertical surfaces, sloped surfaces, soffits and window, louver perimeters. The joints shall be cleaned and new sealant with joint backing shall be installed. 5. In the loading dock area, mortar joints between limestone panels shall be repointed. 6. All louvers shall be cleaned. 7. All exterior glass shall have a final cleaning. 8. Contractor shall provide the rooftop fall protection system including but not limited to submittals, surveys, engineering, coordination, components, protection board, cables, outrigger, tensioners, cable guides, shock absorbers, end anchors, intermediate cable supports, variable cable supports, travelers, assemblies and hardware as required to provide a complete a usable installation in place according to the Contract Documents.
