As of May 11, 2022 No bids received. No definite date for the rebid. This project consists of the repair of the Aldrich Park on Court St near Atkinson St. in Portsmouth, NH. Specifically, the work includes fencing, lighting, landscaping, brick pavers and other ancillary tasks. Work may begin on or after May 4, 2022 with all sections of the work shall be completed by August 15th, 2022. Contractor will have no more than 40 working days to complete and the park should be usable if the contractor de- mobilizes while waiting for materials. Liquidated damages shall be assessed at $100.00 per day. Bidders must determine the quantities of work required and the conditions under which the work will be performed. The City reserves the right, after bid opening and prior to award of the contract, to modify the amount of the work in the event that bids exceed budgeted amounts. The City of Portsmouth further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, to re-bid, and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the City. Each Bidder shall furnish a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. The Bid Security may be in the form of a certified check drawn upon a bank within the State of New Hampshire or a bid bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire, made payable to the City of Portsmouth, N.H. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation for site work. Any Bid submitted by a Bidder not pre-qualified will be rejected as non-conforming. Any subcontractor working on the project will be pre-approved by the City prior to the start of construction. The General Contractor will be permitted to subcontract portions of the work not to exceed an aggregate dollar value of 50% of the total contract bid amount in complete accordance with Section 108 of the State of New Hampshire Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
