Project number-20170585.A20 Bidder is to submit bid on the required forms and in the manner requested. Bids transmitted by facsimile will not be accepted. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond (AIA Document A311), each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The right is reserved to reject any or all, or any part of any or all, bids when such action is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All bids shall remain open for sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening. All bids received must be in a sealed envelope addressed to the Town of Barrington Office of the Town Manager, at the address listed above, with the name of the bid, the bidder's name and the bidder's address. Each envelope is to be marked on the front in the lower left-hand corner. Work shall be to provide the Town of Barrington (hereafter Town) with completed ready-for-use facilities. Scope includes but is not limited to the following: Installation of Pedestrian and Vehicular Surfacing, Low-Profile Paddlecraft Dock, Stepped Paddlecraft Launch, Accessible Viewing Platform, Slope Restoration, Salt Marsh Redevelopment, and. Incidental to these improvements are the installation of Erosion Control measures, Site Clearing, Site Furnishings, Signage, Fencing, and all work necessary to complete the project to the acceptance of the Town. In accordance with Rhode Island General Law (RIGL) 37-14.1 and 220-RICR-80-10-2, bidders shall meet the established goal of not less than ten percent [10%] of the contract bid price be performed by Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Businesses Enterprises (WBEs), or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) where it has been determined that subcontract opportunities exist, and where certified MBEs/WBEs/DBEs are available. A contractor may count towards its MBE/WBE/DBE goals 60% of its expenditures for materials and supplies required under a contract and obtained from a MBE/WBE/DBE regular dealer, and 100% of such expenditures when obtained from an MBE/WBE/DBE manufacturer. Refer to DBE Good Faith Efforts, and Subcontractor Participation Form for additional information, and complete and submit Subcontractor Performance Form and Subcontractor Utilization Form as part of the bid. Contractor shall submit Subcontractor Participation Form to Owner.
