The School District of Greenville County (SDGC) invites responsible firms to submit a SEALED BID to perform the following work at Greenbrier Elementary School. The school is located at 853 Log Shoals Rd, Greenville, South Carolina 29607. The work shall be performed in accordance with the terms and conditions of this solicitation. The Scope of Work consists of: 1. HVAC replacement, related electrical work and building safety improvements in designated areas. 2. The existing fire alarm system will be replaced per requirements due to the HVAC replacement. 3. Additional roof access ladders will be installed as per this scope of work. This project is to be completed in accordance with all drawings, terms, conditions, and specifications contained or referenced in this solicitation. The Scope of Work, Specifications and Drawings were developed and approved by Peritus Engineers and the staff of the District Facilities Department and are included in this solicitation and its referenced documents. Questions or comments regarding this solicitation document or the process shall be forwarded, in writing, to Mr. Jeffrey S. Inquiries and comments shall be delivered to the Procurement Department no later than March 29, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. EDT. Verbal questions/comments shall not be addressed at any time. The contractor will adhere to a strict project schedule, which stipulates work will start no earlier than June 6, 2022, pending an award and issuance of purchase order, and will be completed no later than August 9, 2022 subject to adjustments as provided in the Contract documents. The successful contractor may work evenings and weekends with at least a 24-hour notice and approval from the Facilities Project Manager. After hours work must be coordinated for security guard assistance. Security guard cost will be handled by SDGC. For security reasons, all prospective bidders shall, immediately upon arrival at a jobsite, report to the site's front office. All visitors to Greenbrier Elementary School shall show both business and government-issued photo identification at the school's front office and wear a site-issued visitor's pass during the site visit. Without proper identification, no potential bidder may visit or inspect this project location. Each visitor shall be escorted on a location tour by either Mr. Buddy Gillentine, Director of Mechanical Projects or by another designated District employee. Jobsite visits are not mandatory, and are at the discretion of each bidder. This program is to be completed in accordance with all terms, conditions, and specifications contained or referenced in this solicitation. The Scope of Work, Program Specifications and Drawings should be consulted for a complete detailed description of the work / services to be perform or supplies to be provided. The Scope of Work, Specifications and Drawings were developed and approved by Peritus Engineers and the staff of the District Facilities Department and are included in this solicitation and its referenced documents. The District cannot guarantee that any particular vendor will be selected or any business conducted as a result of this solicitation. The failure of a specific vendor to receive business, once it has been added to the awarded vendors list, shall not be grounds for contract controversy.
