Site work for a power facility in Castroville, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.
The work defined as providing construction including the supply of necessary labor and material, to upgrade existing 7.62/13.2 kV electric underground distribution system. The City proposes to utilize contract labor furnished hereunder in the construction of new line additions and existing facilities upgrades on its electric system. Included in this scope of work is tying in existing underground customer services to new underground primary electric, replacing transformers, installing sectionalizing cabinets, secondary pedestals, conduit and cable. City of Castroville will be awarding bid to Contractor on April 26th. Addition details including time and web address will be provided in bid document. Project details can be found in the "River Bluff Rehab REF_Bid" document. Bids received after the bid due date specified above will not be opened or read. The Contractor will be required to provide both labor and material. Obtaining the Bidding Documents Information and bidding documents for the project are available for immediate download and can be found at the following designated website Bidding documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if bidding documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a bid for the project. All official notifications, addenda, and other bidding documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for bidding documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Selection Criteria In determining the award of this contract, the governmental entity may consider the following under Govt Code Sec. 2269.055: (1) the price. (2) the offeror's experience and reputation. (3) the quality of the offeror's goods or services. (4) the impact on the ability of the governmental entity to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses. (5) the offeror's safety record. (6) the offeror's proposed personnel. (7) whether the offeror's financial capability is appropriate to the size and scope of the project; and (8) any other relevant factor specifically listed in the request for bids, proposals, or qualifications including past performance on projects with this Owner or others in the area. In determining the award of a contract under this chapter, the governmental entity shall: (1) consider and apply any existing laws, including any criteria, related to historically underutilized businesses; and (2) consider and apply any existing laws, rules, or applicable municipal charters, including laws applicable to local governments, related to the use of women, minority, small, or disadvantaged businesses. Bids will be evaluated by the City based on the qualifications and experience of the Bidder, as well as the price offered. The City reserves the right to accept the proposal that provides the best value to the City whether or not the price is lowest, and also reserves the right to reject all bids or waive informalities.
