The City of Batavia, IL will accept sealed bids for the 2022 Bridge Preventative Maintenance Project. The project is located at the Citys Wilson St. bridge over the Fox River and Deerpath Rd. bridge over Mill Creek. The work generally includes bridge washing (superstructure), concrete protective coat, bridge deck concrete epoxy crack sealer/longitudinal joint, bridge washing (abutments and bearings), concrete sealer (abutments), cleaning and painting bearings, concrete repair, and strip seal gland replacement. Bidders are advised of the following requirements of this contract: 1) Illinois Prevailing Wage; 2) 5% Bid Security with submittal of bid; 3) 110% Performance Security within fifteen (15) calendar days after Contract award; 4) applicable OSHA and EPA requirements; 5) IDOT Certification of Eligibility for either #9 Structures or #10 Structures Repair. The City Council of the City of Batavia reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any technicalities, discrepancies, or information in the bids. The City of Batavia does not discriminate in admission, access to, treatment, or employment in its programs and activities. The Owner reserves the right to require the low bidder to file proof of, within seven (7) days of the bid opening, his ability to finance and execute the project. This proof shall include, but not be limited to, a financial statement, list of equipment owned by bidder, backlog of jobs under a Contract only to a Bidder who furnishes satisfactory evidence that he has the ability, sufficient capital, facilities, and plant to enable him to prosecute the work successfully and promptly, and to complete the work within the time specified in the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, offers, or proposal submitted, or to advertise for new bids. The Owner reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any bid and the award of a Contract for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days after the date of opening the bids.
