The scope of our work for the project was as follows: Meet and discuss with City staff to discuss project boring/core locations. Arrange to have buried public utilities marked through the Gopher-State-One-Call System. Provide traffic control as needed to allow drilling to be conducted in roadways. Explore the subsurface conditions by drilling nine (9) Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings to depths of approximately 14' or to encountered groundwater if occurring at a shallower depth. Soil boring 10 (SB10) was added by the City on October 20, 2021. Perform twenty (20) pavement cores (C1 through C20) through existing road surfaces to examine bituminous and underlying base material thicknesses. Visually classify the extracted soil samples and perform laboratory testing including moisture content and gradation tests as needed to aid in soil classification and to determine engineering properties. Prepare a geotechnical report for the project areas providing the following information: a. Logs of the soil test borings showing the existing pavement profile where applicable, soil and groundwater data, including the N-Values. This section describes requirements for concrete and related work including but not limited to curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. Concrete curb and gutter and sidewalks shall be installed in all locations as shown on the contract plans. All concrete work shall be done in accordance with MnDOT 2521 and 2531. Under this section, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, accessories, equipment, and services necessary to finish and cure all concrete as indicated on the drawings, standard plates, or as specified herein.
