Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Aurora, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Board of Education of Indian Prairie School District 204, DuPage County, Aurora, Illinois, hereinafter known as Owner, is accepting sealed bids for hardscape improvements at multiple sites within the school district. The Project consists of the removal and replacement of asphalt pavement with incidental work to include (but not limited to) concrete flatwork replacement, concrete curb and gutter replacement, pavement striping and landscape restorations. In order to familiarize themselves with the projects, prospective Bidders shall attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference, which will be attended by both the Owner and the Consultant. All bidders are to enter at Door #20 and will be required to present a valid state identification card (with photo). Wearing a face mask and practicing social distancing during the Pre-Bid Conference is highly recommended. Site Inspections will follow the meeting. This will be the only time that Bidders will be allowed access to the project sites. Two (2) copies of your bid proposal must be submitted on the Bid Form provided, along with two (2) copies of all form attachments. Bid security, in the form of a bid bond, cashiers check or certified check, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount and acceptable Certificate of Insurance, will be required from the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the School District. All bidders must comply with Illinois Compiled Statutes, 820 ILCS 130/ requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rate changes, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount. The Contract is subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statues, Ch. 69, Par. 1-101, et. seq.(Including the requirement that every party to a public contract shall have adopted written sexual harassment policies, P.A. 87-1257).
