Stone Ballasts for Rail Operations. This is the only way to submit a bid for this project; paper bids will not be accepted. The work under this Invitation for Bid (IFB) generally consists of, but is not limited to, providing NJ TRANSIT with stone ballasts. The Bid for IFB 21-045R will be split into five (5) separate groups. The Contractor can bid on any combinations of groups. All work must be in strict conformance with the specifications provided in the Bid Documents. Contractors and subcontractors are also required to comply with the State of New Jersey, Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services Business Registration Certificate requirements (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44). Contractors or Subcontractors shall not engage in the performance of any work, unless the Contractor or Subcontractor is registered with the Department of Treasury Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services, as required. In addition, the requirements of N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.14 et seq. apply to this project. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action rules and regulations. NJ TRANSIT requires bidders utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontractors / vendors / suppliers to comply with all aspects of NJ TRANSIT's DBE Program in the use of DBE's. A 3% Race Conscious DBE goal has been placed on Groups A, B and C. Groups D and E have been designated as Race Neutral Projects. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 27:25-11(b)(3) and N.J.A.C. 16:72-2.2, Bidders are notified that a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price is required with theirBid.
