Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of: (a) Watermain Renewal: (i) Nairn Avenue from Stadacona Street to Allan Street. (b) Pavement Reconstruction: (i) Nairn Avenue from Stadacona Street to Watt Street. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Watermain Renewal: (i) installation of approximately three hundred five (305) metres of two hundred (200) millimetres (mm) diameter PVC watermain by trenchless methods; (ii) abandonment or removal of existing watermains, hydrants and gate valves; (iii) installation of hydrant assemblies, gate valves and other appurtenances; (iv) reconnection of water services; (v) renewal of water services to property line; (vi) connection into existing watermain; (vii) installation of watermain and water service insulation; (viii) temporary pavement surface restorations; and (ix) completion of flushing hydrostatic leakage testing and disinfection of new watermain. (b) Pavement Reconstruction: (i) removal of existing pavement; (ii) planing of tie-in asphalt at project limits; (iii) excavation; (iv) compaction of existing subgrade; (v) installation of subdrains; (vi) installation of catch basins and sewer service pipe; (vii) installation of watermain and water service insulation; (viii) repairs to existing manholes; (ix) placement of geotextile fabric and geogrid; (x) placement of sub-base and base course material; (xi) adjustment of existing pavement appurtenances; (xii) construction of two hundred sixty (260) mm plain dowelled concrete pavements; (xiii) construction of concrete curbs, curb ramps, medians/islands and approaches; (xiv) placement of asphalt at tie-ins (fifty (50) mm to one hundred (100) mm thickness); (xv) removal of existing sidewalk; (xvi) construction of one hundred (100) mm concrete sidewalk with MMA Markings; (xvii) installation of detectable warning tiles; (xviii) removal of existing trees and stump grinding; (xix) completion of boulevard grading; and (xx) installation of topsoil and sod.
