Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Project will include but not limited to: Hot-mix asphalt (HMA) pavement removal, HMA surface and binder courses, sidewalk removal and replacement, concrete curb removal and installation, storm sewer improvements, fence removal and installation, stairs and railings improvements, site lighting improvements, Alternate #1 includes an underground StormTrap Vault, restoration and other items needed to complete the proposed improvements. This project is to be bid as a lump sum contract with supplemental unit prices. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Department of Labor or determined by a court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract. Certified payroll documentation of general contractor's and all sub-contractors' laborers will be required Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for ten percent (10%) of the base bid made payable to the Township High School District 214 shall accompany the bid. The Contractor shall begin the work to be performed under the contract after Wednesday, June 1, 2022. The Contractor shall be substantially complete by Friday, July 29, 2022 and final completion by Friday, August 5, 2022. Freshman orientation is the week of August 8th, teachers return Thursday August 11th and school starts August 15th. Note: If Alternate #1 is awarded, construction schedule for Alternate #1 shall be June 2023 through July 2023. Substantial Completion is defined as all improvements except restoration. Final completion is defined as restoration and punch list items. In case of failure to complete the work on time, liquidated damages shall be assessed in accordance with the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction shall apply. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and bidders and to waive technicalities.
