Forest Preserve District of Cook County (the "District") is soliciting bids for the above referenced project. This project, 22-31-102, consists of the removal of 498 (four hundred and ninety-eight) trees and 90 (ninety) trees to be pruned in the North Branch & Skokie Division located in northeastern Cook County. Project shall complete within 90 (ninety) working days after receipt of purchase order. During the bid process, all inquiries regarding this bid must be directed in writing and emailed by 5:00 P.M March 16th, 2022 only to the District's Purchasing Agent as follows: Email: fpd.purchasing@cookcountyil.gov Please be advised that the contract MBE/ WBE goals for this project are: An aggregate of 10% In the event that the Bidder fails to satisfactorily furnish a Performance Bond or a Payment Bond, then the District may elect to retain the Bid Security of the Bidder as liquidated damages and the contract award may be canceled. The District may also deem the Bidder as unqualified and the Bidder may be prohibited from receiving a District contract for a period of one (1) year from the date of bid opening. The District reserves the unqualified right to reject or accept any and all Bids or any combination thereof, if applicable, which, in its sole and absolute judgment, will best serve the public interest. In the event equal Bids are received, the District reserves the unqualified right in its absolute and sole discretion, to accept the bid from the Contractor that the District deems most qualified and /or that will, under all circumstances, best serve the public interest. The District reserves the right to reject any proposals that are incomplete, conditional, and obscure or contain alterations and/or additions to, standard bid specifications issued by the District.
