As of December 20, 2022, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: 1. In accordance with the provisions of Section 287.055, Florida Statutes for Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), the City of Palm Bay is accepting Qualification submittals from firms who desire to provide architectural and engineering design services for a new campground at Fred Poppe Regional Park.2. Per F.S. 287.055, should the City be unable to negotiate a satisfactory contract with the firm considered to be the most qualified at a price the agency determines to be fair, competitive, and reasonable, negotiations with that firm must be terminated and the City shall then undertake negotiations with the second most qualified firm, followed by the third most qualified firm, and so forth, in ranking order. 9. Future Tasks: The City reserves the right to utilize this contract for future studies, designs, or other professional engineering services for tasks related to the development of the campground at Fred Poppe Regional Park, as funding allows. This may include but is not limited to a future northwest entrance to the park. No such work is guaranteed, and the City reserves the right to exercise the option to negotiate task order(s) for this work at its sole discretion. The City reserves the right to waive any bid/proposal informality or technicality and to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, whichever serves the best interest of the City of Palm Bay.
