Renovation of a municipal facility in Freehold, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
1. Modifications of one (1) indoor paint booth to provide safety and code requirements per NFPA 33 as well as uniform airflow throughout the work area. The exhaust fan serving the paintbooth shall be replaced and include all associated supplemental structural steel, exhaust ductwork, electric power, controls, startup and airflow testing and balancing. The existing roof mounted makeup air unit serving the paint booth shall also be removed and a new packaged grade mounted makeup air unit shall be provided consisting of modulating natural gas-fired, indirect heating, filtration, variable speed supply fan and secure web-based, direct digital BACnet controls. The packaged makeup air unit system replacement shall include all associated supplemental structural steel, supply ductwork, natural gas piping, condensate piping, electric power, controls, startup and airflow testing and balancing. A new eyewash station shall be provided including all associated domestic water, sanitary and vent piping. All associated ceiling, lighting, fire protection / sprinkler, plumbing, HVAC, electric and fire alarm scopes shall be included for a complete, fully operational system. An add alternate shall be provided to replace the new packaged grade mounted makeup air unit indicated above utilizing a new packaged grade mounted makeup air unit consisting of modulating direct expansion cooling with compressor and condensing section, modulating hot gas reheat with dehumidification capability, modulating natural gas-fired, indirect heating, filtration, variable speed supply fan and secure web-based, direct digital BACnet controls. The alternate makeup air unit shall be in lieu of the unit specified within the base bid, not in addition to, and include additional power and control requirements associated with the upgraded unit. All other base bid scope items shall remain applicable as part of the alternate selection. 1.5 ACCESS TO SITE A. General Contractor shall have limited use of Project site for construction operations as indicated on Drawings by the Contract limits and as indicated by requirements of this Section. B. Use of Site: Limit use of Project site to areas within the Contract limits indicated. Do not disturb portions of Project site beyond areas in which the Work is indicated. 1. Limits: Confine construction operations to spaces within scope of work. 2. Driveways, Walkways and Entrances: Keep driveways, parking, loading areas, and entrances serving premises clear and available to Owner, Owner's employees, and emergency vehicles at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or for storage of materials. a. Schedule deliveries to minimize use of driveways and entrances by construction operations. b. Schedule deliveries to minimize space and time requirements for storage of materials and equipment on-site.C. Condition of Existing Building: Maintain portions of existing building affected by construction operations in a weathertight condition throughout construction period. Repair damage caused by construction operations. D. Condition of Existing Grounds: Maintain portions of existing grounds, landscaping, and hardscaping affected by construction operations throughout construction period. Repair damage caused by construction operationis.
