The City of Lorain is seeking proposals for the City of Lorain Pellet Terminal Redevelopment Project and Brownfield Program. As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, The City of Lorain will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm. The City is seeking a qualified consultant to implement a recently submitted grant project and to identify, pursue, and implement grant funded brownfield planning, remediation, and redevelopment projects specific to the site known as the Pellet Terminal, as shown in the attached documents, and located at the NE corner of Broadway and W. Erie Avenue. The consultant is expected to have knowledge of and have the capacity to perform preliminary planning, site assessment, and site remediation, as well as secure design, engineering, and construction management services toward the development of all projects occurring on this property. The Consultant will work closely with City staff to successfully implement this work. The following scope of services is the minimum expectation and description of the technical assistance requested. The City of Lorain reserves the right to evaluate the proposals submitted, waive any irregularity therein, or reject any and all firms that submitted proposals, deemed for its best interest. It is asked that the information included therein be as concise as possible. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
