As of February 9, 2024, this project has been canceled. As of April 10, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded at the end of June. The Project has been designed by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., to install a new water main pipeline to connect existing NBU water mains from the intersection of Castell Avenue and East Merriweather Street, to the intersection of Dunlap Drive and State Highway 46. The Project is anticipated to include some or all of the following items within its scope: (i) construction of approximately 9,400 linear feet ("LF") of potable water line, including open cut and trenchless installation as well as a horizontal directional drill under the Guadalupe River; (ii) approximately 1,300 LF of 8-inch water line relocation; (iii) approximately 350 LF of wastewater line relocation; (iv) storm water pollution prevention and erosion control; (v) traffic control; (vi) pavement and street repair, and mill and overlay of various streets; and (vii) all other appurtenances necessary to complete the Project.
