A new Farmington High School, located at 10 Monteith Drive, Farmington, CT will replace the existing structure. Construction will occur while the existing school is occupied and active. It is planned that the "900 Wing" addition of the existing high school, constructed in 2003, will remain and be renovated. The new structure will be located on the same campus of the existing Farmington High School. The existing high school will remain occupied during construction. Full demolition and abatement will occur following completion of all new construction. The scope of work for this project shall be generally as follows: o Conduct a comprehensive code compliance plan review of the following documents produced by the Project design team and prepare and date a Plan Review Record (PRR) of the errors and comments on the firm's letterhead or by using the ICC and/or NFPA Plan Review Forms: o Final Plans o Working drawings o Specifications o Bid documents o Contract Documents o Submit and date a comprehensive Plan Review Record (PRR) noting any errors and comments on either the firm's letterhead or the ICC and/or NFPS Plan Review Forms to the Town of Farmington and design professional team for necessary evisions/corrections to be made to the project documents. o All comments shall be numbers and refer to the appropriate code sections. Attend a sign off meeting with the design professionals ensuring all revisions have been captured in the design documents or that State Modifications have been received. The original set of drawing sheets and specifications reviewed must reflect the changes to the corrected documents. o The author of the PRR will be required to sign off on the individual items of the Plan Review Record o The 3rd party reviewer shall provide a stamp or initial each revised drawing sheet and each section revision of the project manual. The new school will be 239,000 square feet and is estimated to house 1,404 students by 2029 (grades 9 through 12). The Connecticut State Department of Education has approved total project funding in the amount of $135,540,000. The GMP for construction is estimated at $116,000,000. The project is currently in the Construction Document phase. Construction is tentatively scheduled to break ground in September 2022 followed by a 30-month construction period. Questions must be submitted by 3/16/2022 by 2:00 p.m. The Farmington High School Building Committee is seeking qualified Independent third-party code consultant to perform a code compliance plan review (conforming to UpToDate OSCG&R requirements and forms.) of the final design documents of the new Farmington High School and Central Office/Locker Room Building Project. Once the Project design team completes the drawings, specifications, and other documents to be used for bidding and construction, those documents will be submitted to the successful firm for a full code compliance plan review. Automobile Liability Insurance covering the operations of all motor vehicles owned, leased, hired, or used by the Responder in the furtherance of this Agreement with limits of $1,000,000 each person, $1,000,000 each occurrence for bodily injury, and $1,000,000 each occurrence for property damage. The Town reserves the right to use any or all ideas presented in reply to this RFQ The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
