LOCATION OF WORK: The Old Easton Road Bridge over Unnamed Creek is located adjacent to the intersection of Curly Hill Road and Old Easton Road in Plumstead Township, Bucks County, PA. Old Easton Road Stone Arch Bridge Rehabilitation CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/23/2022 12:00 PM Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township and must be accompanied by the non-collusion and workmen's compensation affidavits, and a bid bond, issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to the Township. Bidders must be prequalified by PennDOT as contractors (if specified in the bid documents). This project is subject to the regulations of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act 442) as amended. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory insurance, Performance, Payment & Maintenance Bonds (if specified in the bid documents) with a corporate surety approved by the Township. Award of contract, if a contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities. Rehabilitation of the Old Easton Road Bridge over Unnamed Creek in Bucks County Remove the existing deteriorated concrete facing on the east headwall; Repoint all loose/missing mortar located in the abutments, headwalls, wingwalls, and arch barrel; Replace any broken or missing stones in the abutments, headwalls, wingwalls, and arch barrel; Remove the existing concrete cap at the east headwall and install new bluestone cap at both headwalls/wingwalls; Install new Sika FRCM strengthening system on the stone arch barrel per manufacturer's recommendations; Install new guiderail at all four approaches of the structure.
