A BIDDER'S BOND from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas or Certified Cashier's Check, payable without recourse to the County of Hidalgo, for the amount of not less than 5% of the total proposal shall accompany the submittal as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the Vendor will enter into a contract with the County of Hidalgo. Payment and Performance Bonds shall be executed except in the event of a single payment contract with the County of Hidalgo in lieu of Performance Bond. In the event the total amount proposed is $25,000 or less, the successful vendor has the option to enter into a single payment contract with the County of Hidalgo in lieu of a Payment and Performance Bond. UPON SUBMITTING SEALED PROPOSAL, offers are required to properly identify (handwritten, typed, or printed) sealed envelope and/or packet as follows: Offeror's name and address in the upper left-hand corner of the sealed envelope and/or package and RFCSP No.: 22-0044-03-25-JDC "Terry Rd Stormwater Project (Rogers to North Branch) - Precinct 4" in the lower left-hand corner of sealed envelope and/or packet. OVERNIGHT MAIL MUST ALSO BE PROPERLY LABELED ON THE OUTSIDE OF EXPRESS ENVELOPE OR PACKAGE No less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful offeror must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin (if applicable). PROPOSALS MAY BE HELD by the County of Hidalgo for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing and investigating the qualifications of offerors, prior to award of the contract.
