The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is conducting a market survey and is seeking qualified firms to provide professional Construction Services to Improve Sterile Supply Service and Biomedical Functional Alignment at the Palo Alto Health Care System in Palo Alto, California. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This construction project will consist of the renovation of Sterile Processing Service (SPS) suite in the basement of Building 100 of the VA Palo Alto Division in the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. In order to facilitate the renovation, a swing space, consisting of a mobile SPS tailer and a separate modular building, will be put in place to house sterilization operations while the renovation occurs. The SPS tailer itself will be leased under a separate contract from a mobile SPS trailor vendor (Vendor), but site preparations for its installation will be provided. The modular building will remain on the site where it is erected PROCUREMENT INFORMATION: The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed-price contract for construction outlined in FAR Part 36.2 Special Aspects of Contract for Construction. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (size standard $39.5 million) applies to this procurement. This project is planned for advertising in March / April of 2022. The duration of the project is currently estimated at 423 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. However, the results and analysis of the market research will finalize the determination of the procurement method. The type of socio-economic set-aside, if any, will depend upon the responses to this notice and any other information gathered during the market research process. CAPABILITY STATEMENT: Respondents shall provide a response to this notice that contains the following information: Section 1: Provide company name, DUNS number, company address, Point-of-Contact name, phone number and email. Additionally, please include an explanation of how the contracts submitted relate to the project described in this requirement.
