MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT The County of Lehigh is seeking bids preferably from reputable Mountain Bike Trail Construction contractors to construct approximately 1.5 miles of new trail at the: Trexler Nature Preserve - North Range 5000 Mill Creek Road Schnecksville, PA 18078 The goal of the mountain bike trail construction project is to build a one-way, bike-only, flow trail that integrates with and enhances the existing mountain bike trail network at Trexler Nature Preserve. The trail will have a mild to moderate grade that emphasizes flow, creates the feeling of speed and limits pedaling and braking. The mountain bike trail system at Trexler Nature Preserve is popular with beginner and intermediate riders; therefore, design considerations will be employed to safely accommodate riders of all abilities yet still providing a thrilling challenge and options for more advanced mountain bikers through natural and man-made features. The ideal design will emphasize a fun and thrilling experience while also respecting and highlighting the preserve's unique natural resources.
