**As of March 24 2022, the project was awarded to Modern Outdoor Landscaping. The Base bid was $46,345.00 and there is an allowance of $45/yd for the removal and replacement of up to 80 yds of unsuitable material. The work is scheduled to begin on July 6, 2022 and should be completed by July 29, 2022. Front Walkway - Demo and remove existing concrete walkway in front of building, approximately 80 tons. - Excavate an area of approximately 1,748.75 sq ft to a depth of 1 ft and install base work. - Prep and Install a Belgard Holland Stone series patio/walkway, finished with poly sand in cracks and snap edging around exterior of walkway. - Provide accommodations for 75' of new metal pipe railings. Landing - Demo and remove existing concrete landing in front of building, approximately 108 sq ft. - Excavate an area of approximately 108 sq ft to a depth of 1 ft and install base work. - Prep and Install a Belgard Holland Stone series patio/walkway landing, finished with poly sand in cracks and snap edging around exterior of landing. Retaining Wall - Demo and remove existing retaining wall - Prep and install 130 sq ft Diamond Series Retaining Wall - Install 3' of crushed stone behind wall. - Install Geogrid every 18" - Install Glued wall cap Miscellaneous - Remove and reset existing 3' granite steps. - Excess debris may be stock-piled onsite during the work but must be hauled offsite and disposed of at the end of the job. - Unsuitable Material - Provide an estimate of potential unsuitable material based on the scope of work. - Provide a unit price for off-site disposal of unsuitable material and replacement with suitable backfill material compacted in place as an extra to the contract. Bids may not be withdrawn within 30 days of the bid opening without the agreement of the Owner. Bids will be analyzed and presented to the Building & Grounds Committee prior to be presented to the School Board for final award. The anticipated date of the award is March 22, 2022.
