Site work and new construction of a stadium in Tazewell, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.

As of January 8, 2024, per owner, at the moment there are no open bids or proposal solicitations for the project. All activity on this project has been suspended. The Town of Tazewell has received and accepted for publication, and for conceptual phase consideration, an unsolicited proposal under the provisions of the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002 ("PPEA") (Va Code 56-575.1, et seq.) and the Town of Tazewell's Model Procedures for the implementation of the PPEA ("Procedures"). The PPEA unsolicited proposal is for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of an indoor sports facility, to be known as the Tazewell Field House, to be located at 2230 Fincastle Turnpike, North Tazewell, Virginia 24630. The Town of Tazewell and the Industrial / Economic Development Authority of the Town of Tazewell, Virginia intend to evaluate the unsolicited proposal and may negotiate a comprehensive agreement with the proposer based on the proposal, but will accept for simultaneous consideration any competing proposals that comply with the PPEA and the Town of Tazewell Procedures. The Town of Tazewell is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
