Renovation of a library in Yonkers, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,400-square-foot library.

Yonkers Public Library (YPL) is requesting proposals to refurbish Community Room A+B, located on the second floor of the Riverfront Library at One Larkin Center, Yonkers NY. One Larkin Center is owned by the City of Yonkers and is occupied by its tenants, YPL and Yonkers Public Schools. Community Room A+B is approximately 2,400 square feet and has seen extensive use since the building opened in 2002. In 2019 it hosted nearly 400 events over nearly 1,700 combined hours. It is equipped with a sound system and mixing board with microphones and ceiling speakers, a projector and 8x8ft. pull-down screen, and a retractable partition wall (approximately 11 feet high, 36 feet wide) used to facilitate simultaneous events, all of which are original to the building. CR Number: 2084729 Specifically, YPL is requesting proposals to perform the following: Repair the retractable partition wall (11'x36') Replace the original carpet tiles Remove original wallpaper and replace with fresh paint Please refer to attached documents for more information. Photos and diagrams are available upon request. Requests to visit the site are welcomed and encouraged and can be scheduled by reviewing contact information. Prevailing Wage: Contractors and subcontractors must pay the prevailing rate of wages and supplements (fringe benefits) to all of its employed laborers and workers.
