As of October 3, 2022, construction is underway. The project includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction to construct replacement of water mains and water services on Commerce Avenue, Crescent Drive, Lancaster Street, and S. Pearl Street, water services on Osborne Street, and sewer main and sewer laterals on Osborne Street. All work is to be completed by December 1, 2022. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders List may not be accepted. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope per Article 15 of the Instructions to Bidders. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Installation of water main replacement on Crescent Dr., Commerce Ave., Lancaster St., and S. Pearl St. Replacement of existing sanitary sewer main on Osborne St. Replacement of water services from new main to meter on Crescent Dr. and Lancaster St., and replacement of water services from new main to curbox on S. Pearl St. and Commerce Ave. Pothole investigations of water services at curb boxes to identify water service material on both sides of curb stop to determine replacement schedule on Osborne St. Sewer main replacement on Osborne St. will require the reconnection of the new main to the sewer lateral from the sewer main to the face of the building. Work also includes the complete restoration of all surfaces. B. All additional work called out on plans. C. Provide Erosion and Sediment Control in accordance with the contract documents and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Standards and Specifications for Erosion and Sediments Control, November 2016. D. Submission of samples, shop drawings for all material to be provided and as called for in the Specifications. E. Provide Project Schedule. Contractor must coordinate work with the Department of Water and Water Supply. F. Contractor must maintain the surrounding areas clear of debris for the duration of the project. Streets and sidewalks shall be broom swept using a closed sweeper as necessary. G. Contractor will utilize parking spaces available on street. Contractor shall submit proposed parking restrictions and lane closures as part of a Maintenance and Protection of Traffic plan to Traffic Engineering for approval prior to the start of construction.
