SCOPE OF WORK: This project entails the maintenance of traffic; removal of existing concrete curb and sidewalk; construction of new curb and sidewalk; furnish and install 14-foot Hagerstown green pedestal poles with breakaway bases; furnish and install Radar display assemblies and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon assemblies; installation of topsoil, seed and mulch; and all labor, materials, time and appurtenances required to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by Sabra & Associates and the City of Hagerstown, Md. DESIGNER: Contract documents and plans as prepared by Sabra & Associates and by the City of Hagerstown Department of Parks and Engineering, which includes Drawings No. 67-163-001 through 67-163-004 and Drawings 67-164-001 through 67164-003 a part of these contract documents. LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Forty (40) working days is the length of the contract. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages are assessed at $ 300.00 per day. FUNDING: Funding for this project is provided by the Federal "Safe Routes to School" program through the State of Maryland with a 20% match from the City of Hagerstown. Davis-Bacon Wage rates do apply. 5% Bid Bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check to be submitted with the Sealed Proposal. The successful Bidder shall submit a 100% Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond upon award of contract. MBE/DBE: Bidders are advised that this contract does include Minority Business Enterprise requirements and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal of 0.0. %.
