As of May 9, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on July or August. The project generally consists of the following: install an emergency generator system for the Canandaigua Airport (IUA) to serve the existing airfield electrical vault and airfield lighting systems. The project includes installation of a concrete generator pad, transfer switch, conduits, cables/wires, trenching/restoration, electrical service and distribution modifications at the existing vault, and installing a natural gas service to the generator. All bids must be accompanied by a Proposal Surety (Bid Bond or other instrument as described in the Instructions to Bidders) in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. All prospective Bidders, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Suppliers shall direct all inquiries related to this project solely to Charles Howe, P.E., Project Engineer, McFarland Johnson by email chowe@mjinc.com. The deadline for submitting inquiries related to this project is Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) local time. Minimum hourly wage rates shall be paid per the wage rate determinations of the New York State Department of Labor and Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rate Act, whichever is higher The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal is 3.1%. The EEO goal for the Contractor's work force is 5.3% for Minority participation and 6.9% for Women participation. The project is being funded in part by the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Airport Improvement Program, and the New York State Department of Transportation. However, due to the timeline of FAA funding, the project construction work may not commence until late Summer or Fall 2022. The Ontario County Industrial Development Agency reserves the right to reject any and all bid Proposals and to waive any informality in bid Proposals received.
